Default DRIVE enclosure has outlook express files -I want to use outlook

I now have vista and Office 2007. I want to use outlook for my email and my
wife's email. She used outlook express on the old computer and I have that
hard drive in an enclosure and attached with a fire wire cable to the new
machine. How can I retrieve her stored email massages and her contacts?

You must configure Windows Mail so that you can import the Outlook Express
data to it. You can then export that data from Windows Mail to Outlook for
the messages. See this:

For the WAB (Windows Address Book) file containing the contacts, you can
import those into Windows Contacts, and from there export to a CSV file,
which you can import into Outlook. See this:
