two inboxes?
I have two clients with Vista /Office 2007. Both have 2 inboxes; one with the
email account name attached. I'm wondering why? It is in personal folders and not in the upper section where inbox is. is this normal? Even if it is I want the inbox and sent items foilder to be in the first panel not under the personal folders pane. I cannot test this myself as i use exchange configurations (in case you were wondering) |

Outlook 2007 allows per-account Inboxes. is this normal? If they set it up that way, yes. Sorry, I don't know what you mean by "personal folders pane". -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

in the left hand panel of Outlook there are two panels, the upper panel where
we find inbox, sent items etc, and the lower pane where all the folders are. In the top pane there is an inbox that is not being used, the real inbox with the users email address attached, is in the lower pane. I want the inbox in the top pane. You're using the "Mail" view of the Navigation Pane. At the top are "Favorite" folders - i.e., folders you've added to the Favorites folder. At the bottom is a list of all folders configured to hold mail items. RIght-click any mail folder and choose Add to Favorites Folder to move it from the bottom to the top. If you don't want something listed in the Favorites area of the Nav Pane, right-click it and choose "Remove from Favorites Folder". -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

ok, we have the folder inbox in top pane, but there are 2 inbox folders. One has an email address attached to it ...i.e. why is this so? Is one of them associated with a Hotmail or IMAP account? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
