Locating the .NK2 file
I have been trying to locate my .NK2 file for the past couple of days, for
some reason i noticed that when i went to type some common e-mail address to my to box It doesn't appear, when i did a hidden file search i noticed that the .NK2 file was there but it was under the name default. In many examples it shows that the .NK2 file always appears as .NK2 why in my case does it appear as default? |

Because your profile is named Default? Then your related nk2-file is

Open Windows Explorer and enter %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook in the Address bar. Click Go. You should see the NK2 file. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Why would you want it to change?
You can recreate your mail profile and then give the profile your name. You cannot rename individual files or mail profiles. See http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm And why do you think my .NK2 file for some reason got deleted? Actually, why do you think it is deleted when it is still there? You said it was called default.nk2 -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "LMI" wrote in message ...
