How do I get rid of Outlook's "Enter Network Password" dialog?
I have several email addresses that I aggregate into Outlook 2003. Several of
them are " addresses. I just added another one, and I input all the required data (incoming and outgoing server names, email address, email account p/w, etc) into Outlook. But when I click on the "Test Account Settings" button, I get the "Enter Network Password" dialog -- and no matter how many times I enter my password there, the dialog won't go away until I hit "Cancel." I've verified that the password is correct (works just fine when I access the Gmail account directly via the browser). All the other settings are correct. I only aggregate about 5 addresses into Outlook, so it's not as though I'm overloading the app.... Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Thanks! |

You cannot simultaneously connect to the same POP3 server with different
credentials; only 1 session at a time is allowed. That said; Outlook in most cases will detect this and will not try to collect mail from the same server at the same time. Things that can break this is a too low automatic send/receive interval (with 5 accounts set it to at least 15min) and virus scanner integration as they will take over the send/receive session. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "relambert" wrote in message ...
