IMAP and Outlook 2007
I work for a small company. I have an email profile set up on one computer
as a POP3 account. I am trying to set up the same profile on another computer with the IMAP account but it's not allowing me to do so. I apologize as I am not very knowledgeable in this area but would like to resolve this issue myself if possible. |
IMAP and Outlook 2007
Does the email server you're connecting to support IMAP service? Not all do
and those that can usually must have it enabled. If the server doesn't support IMAP connections, then you'll have to use POP on the other computer as well. If you must use POP on both, be sure to set both machines to "Leave a copy of email on the server" so all mail will be available to both machines and set one of them to "Delete mail from the server after (xx) days". so you don't exceed your server space. If the server DOES support IMAP, what's happening when you try to connect? Any error messages?
