Please help with MS Outlook 2003 in XP Environment

I have just purchased a new Lenovo 3000 N200 to replace my dying Toshiba
Satellite M40X RH4. Both laptops run Windows XP...the Toshiba has XP Home,
the Lenovo XP Professional.

I had most of my applications and all of the associated files copied /
installed on the Lenovo that currently reside on the Toshiba, including MS
Office 2003, with Outlook 2003. I can see all of my personal folders no
problem on the new machine, so I know the *.PST files was copied correctly.

That said, I cannot get the new machine to log into my Hotmail. I set it up
(as best I can tell) identical to how it is set up on my Toshiba (Tools -
Email Accounts - New - HTTP - Hotmail - Name / Email Address / Password
- Check "Remember Password" ), and yes, have verified that the password I
typed in is correct (about a half dozen times).

However, when I try to connect to Hotmail on the Lenovo, it bounces back
with "Please enter your user name and password for the following server"
repeatedly.

What did I miss? Please help??!!

Does the new computer have all of the same Office/Outlook patches and
addins? (e.g. Hotmail has changed since the release of OL2003 where you need
a connector. Its a free download from MS site.)
