I am trying to set up outlook 2003 to check my companies POP3 email account.
I set these accounts up all the time and they all work fine. When I put in the username and password in the setup and try to check the account when finished it pops up a window prompting for the password even though I typed it in the account and told it to save the password. When I put the password in the prompted box it will check the email properly. (This is not an incorrect password issue) the error I get when i cancel the prompted box is: reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded: -ERR Too few arguments for the pass command. I have uninstalled all virus scanners, deleted and recreated the user account, repaired Outlook installation, reinstalled outlook completely, cleaned the registry and everything under the sun to try and fix this. Anyone have any ideas beyond check my log in info? |
