What do I need to do

I just got off the phone with IT and they told me that olk 2007 is not
approved software. That being said, nether is half the software I use on my
work computer (I have admin rights on my laptop)

I work for a large company and we use an exchange server. I own a ok 2007
on my own. If I install it, will my old messages pull over? Will I still be
able to get mail?

What questions do I need to ask or settings change to do this? Our IT
department rarely audits computers so I think I will be safe, as long as I
can get my emails.

Please help.

What do I need to do

it will work with exchange 2003 but unless you own the computer I would be
hesitant about installing a copy I paid for on the computer they own.

Where I work, installing software like that is grounds for dismissal. I
hope you have your resume polished.

What do I need to do

because they could take the computer from you and it could mess up your
allowed activations.

What do I need to do

The IT department might be excused for allowing Admin rights.

Jeremy, if you set up your profile with an Exchange account it will probably
work just fine - it is intended to as email content is stored on the
Exchange Server typically.

However, IT has the ability to: 1) report on what version of Outlook is
accessing mailboxes and 2) prevent specific versions of Outlook from
accessing Exchange

You just might be creating more problems for yourself (as others have
suggested).
