Outlook cannot send or recieve.

But everything else works.

Hi, I have a customer with 12 Vista Business PC's. All but 2 of the PC's
work 100% The 2 I'm having problems are not able to send or recieve email.
They are using Outlook2007, as are all PC's. IE works 100%. They have the
same settings (POP, SMTP) as every other PC.

They are members of a Windows 2003 Domain (SBS2003) and using DHCP the DNS
server is the 2003 server. DNS (nslookup) responds the same on all PC's.

Any thoughts as to what the problem could be?

Outlook cannot send or recieve.

Checked your Anti Virus and Security programs so as they do not scan incoming and outgoing emails

Outlook cannot send or recieve.

Thanks for the reply, that is not an issue. I should have said they get a
"outlook cannot contact you POP and SMTP servers"

If I change the POP and SMTP addresses TO ip addresses I get the same error.
I wondered if it was a DNS problem, but as I changed to IP addresses that
shouldn't be a problem..

Routing?

Tracert responds correctly. Maybe it's not an outlook issue.

I'm at a loss.

That is the issue. Disable the email scanning for incoming and outgoing emails and test.

Mail scanning is redundant and the resident AV will catch any virus coming in or going out provided it is kept up to date
