MAPISP32.EXE needed to send notification emails to GroupWise

Applicaiton: Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM)
Outlook version: 2003
Problem: We need to use Outlook to send email notifications of
server events from this server to a GroupWise 7.0 mail server

I received instructions to configure Outlook as a POP3 client
and send emails on the default schedule.
What process will need to be running in the background to
send the emails? Should MAPISP32.exe be running at all times?
I did a search for the file and cannot find it on the server but do
find it when I mimic the setup on an XP machine.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

It appears that MAPISP32.exe is no longer used as described he
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304116

I installed Outlook 2000 and used the "Outlook connector for Groupwise" to
configure this setup.
The DB admin will test it now with the SCM Notification Server. I was able
to send emails successfully numerous times logged into the console.
