Problems with Outlook installation/registry
Hi
I am trying to read the registry values for an account set up with Outlook 2002. This is so that I can back up these values, create a new account directly in the registry as part of an installation and then on un-installation restore the original settings. The installation is as part of a spam filter where the user consents to having their mail collected through the spam filter - hence the installation configures their mail to collect from the spam filter server and said server then talks to the user's ISP rather than the mail client talking to the ISP. For sending email, the email client (Outlook 2002) sends authenticated mail "use sicily=2" to the spam filter rather than the original ISP. This works on a variety of settings but I'm having problems getting the Use Sicily flag to install on Outlook 2002. Has anything changed with the registry settings and authentication on this version which would cause this to happen and does anyone have any reference code available to do the email backup and restore using only registry values? many thanks Craig -- Craig Cockburn ("coburn"). http://www.SiliconGlen.com/ Please sign the Spam Petition: http://www.siliconglen.com/spampetition/ Home to the first online guide to Scotland, founded 1994.
