Outlook XP can't connect but Express can
I was setting up new users with email accounts. The mailboxes are on a POP3
server provided by my ISP. All the machines on my LAN are setup identically (by me) with Windows XP Professional and Office XP. I've updated all of them from Windows Update. I have a MS ISA server and no other firewall on the individual machines. On only one of the PC's, Outlook can connect to neither SMTP nor POP3. I get errors in sending / receiving emails saying that the server was found but no response was received. I used telnet to ports 25 & 110 from that PC and everything works fine. Deleting and recreating the Outlook profile didn't help. I tried the same settings with Outlook Express and it worked fine with no problem. Any ideas? |
