Outlook e-Mail accounts error message
 

When i click "E-mail Accounts" in the "Tools" menu, i receive an error
stating: (dutch) "Fout in de bewerking omdat er een probleem is met het
register of de installatie. Start Outlook opnieuw en probeer het nogmaals.
Als het probleem zich blijft voordoen, installeert u Outlook opnieuw." I do
not know the original english message, but it goes something like "Error in
the editing because of a problem with the register or the installation,
restart Outlook and try again. If the problem persists, reinstall Outlook".
Restarting Outlook does NOT solve the problem, neither does deinstalling and
reinstalling MS Office (including Outlook). (I've tried both about 10 and 5
times in total). I am not certain about it, but the last thing i might have
done before noticing no more messages arrived was downloading and installing
Outlook Connector. I DO receive my Hotmail messages, but none of the other
accounts that were installed in Outlook before.

I am using Outlook 2003 SP3

Luckily I'm Dutch as well so I understood the original error message ;-)

It appears you have a mail profile corruption and your mail profile needs to
be recreated.
You can do this via Control Panel- Mail

It was a pretty complex procedure, I had to search for quite some info, and
I'm still busy importing the archived data, but up until now, it seems to
work ok.

There should be no reason for you to import anything. Just reuse your
existing data file.
