MS Outlook 2003 EXPORT/IMPORT problem on Windows VISTA
MS Outlook was running on Windows XP. Purchased new computer running Windows
VISTA. Installed MS Office 2003 on new computer. Ran EXPORT .pst on old computer. Get error when trying to IMPORT .pst on new computer: "The operation failed. An object could not be found." Get same error message when trying to EXPORT .pst file in new computer for backup. New computer had a trial version of MS Office 2007 installed when I originally installed MS Office 2003. Thinking this may have caused some kind of conflict, I tried to uninstall MS Office 2007. Not sure I got everything deleted. Have uninstalled MS Outlook and reinstalled it. No luck. |
MS Outlook 2003 EXPORT/IMPORT problem on Windows VISTA
copy the pst to the new computer, go to control panel mail and make a new
profile and point it to the pst you copied. You NEVER import a native Outlook .pst file - see this page for more information: http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged.
