Default Exchange setup gone wrong in 2007

I attempted to setup an exchange server with 2007, it would not sync but now
everytime i open outlook it says "Teh connection to Microsoft Exchange is
unavailable. Ouylook must be online or connected to complete this action" i
hit ok and a box comes up with the server info and mailbox name. i verify
this informatino and select OK and it says "Cannot open your default e-mail
folders. the file C:\users\John\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\outl ook.ost
is not and offline folder file." and i select ok and Outlook closes and i
cant change anything. i have tried reinstalling Office and that changes
nothing and i cant find the specified path it is refering to either. Please
help.

You need to start with a new Profile - not copied

I have the same problem. I put in exchange info, but cannot connect
because a VPN is required. Outlook hangs on startup, and doesn't give
you the option of going back to revise or delete the profile, and
create a different one. It just shuts down! Nice job, Microsoft!

Unlike XP, in Vista there is no Control Panel Mail option. The only
way I can find to edit or deletean exchange profile is through tools
in outlook. But outlook shuts down before you can access it.

In Vista 64, you need to enable 32 bit .cpl.

Ok, something really strange or normal
I can submit junk mail to the junk account when going through smtp.
However
I use the exchange client Outlook and would like to forward the mail to
the junk account without going through smtp. Is this possible?

Please explain what you mean by "the junk account" and how you submit junk
mail to it. This sounds to me like the company for which you work has created
a mailbox to which you can forward junk mail for adding to a server-side junk
filter. What does that have to do with Outlook?
