Default Outlook 2003

Hi all,

I installed outlook2003 on a p4 with enoug space and memory,and when I open
Outlook it opens 2 instances of outlook.Tht causes the program to hang. When I
close it 1 instance still runs and I have to kill the process in taskmanager.

Can someone please help with this as I have never come across such an
problem.I hav tried to run repair on it and re-install it but to no avail.

I'm guessing one of those two processes might be a send/receive attempt, set
to occur at startup, and that something is blocking or stalling it.

Go into the mail settings in Control Panel and turn off the option to check
for mail at startup. See if this gets you into the program. You may then be
able to figure what the problem is.

A lot of issues like this are corrupted Office user registry. Exporting (for
safety) then deleting the section may clear the problem.
