Lost CD 1 of Office XP. Have CD2 with product Key. can Reinstall
I cannot find the CD1 which has the actual program for Office XP. I have CD2
and the product key on CD 2. CD2 contains other programs but not Office. I need to reinstall Office XP as my PC was repaired and lost those programs. How can I do it? Is the product key on CD2 used to install office XP again? Where can I download the program as I do not have the cd? Thanks |

Download, you cannot
If you can prove a retail purchase http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;326246 (though I dont believe OfficeXP is available anymore from them) Or borrow an exact same version of office as yours & copy the cd's, use your key "JAS" wrote in message ... You're basically screwed. You need to find someone who has the same program
and still has CD1 and borrow it (it doesn't need to be the same one as the one that originally came with CD2). Otherwise, you need to purchase another copy of office but you probably won't be able to find this version anywhere - you'll probably have to go with Office 2007 (if your system can support it) though you may be able to find a copy of Office 2003 (again, if your system can support it). Even if you have proof of purchase, the vendor probably doesn't have copies anymore and isn't going to give you one just because you lost the CD - only if you had the CD and could prove it didn't work (and maybe not even then after all this time). Good luck. I think upgrading is probably your only option (unless you know someone else with the same program). "JAS" wrote: I cannot find the CD1 which has the actual program for Office XP. You dont go to the vendor for replacement disks unless its an oem copy
supplied with a PC, which isnt the case here "Lorien" wrote in message ... You're basically screwed.
