Outlook won't keep mail on server, downloads twice
 

I would like to switch my POP3 account (comcast) settings for Outlook to keep
email on the server. I have checked the box "Leave a copy of mesage on the
server" on the Advanced tab.

This results in messages being downloaded twice. I have them twice in
Outlook, but no messages on the server. Please advise. Is there something
else that I can change to get this to work right?

Uninstall your integrated anti virus app, reboot your PC
If using Norton or McAfee use the tool on their site to completely remove.
Retest outlook.
Reinstall your AV *without* the outlook integration
