Shifting Custom Fields/Color Coding

Iâ€™ve customized a new form and the fields keep re-adjust from the way I
originally saved it (the length, placement, etc.). How can I stop that from
happening?

Also, I've noticed that one of my contact onthe display grid has turned red
and don't know why/how. How can I make that happen on purpose?
