Why can't I use my Contact List to send e-mails?
I printed out and followed the instructions, and still doesn't work. # 3 in
"How to Mark Your Contact Folder for Use with Your Address Book" doesn't allow me to select anything, type a descriptive name, etc. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Have you configured your Outlook Address Book? http://support.microsoft.com/default...Product=ol2002 -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "LaRue" wrote in message ... In Outlook 2003, I have a well populated list of contacts; however, when I attempt to send an e-mail to a member of my contact list, Outlook 2003 states that there are no contacts. I can clearly see the contacts, so why doesn't the program recognize these contacts? |

Then you've not followed the directions correctly.
Exactly what does the Outlook Address Book Tab show in the Folder's properties? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Charlene" wrote in message ... Why can't I use my Contact List to send e-mails?
Under "How to mark your contact folder for use with your address book" it
says to select the folder you want to use from the folder list. I suspect I would want to choose the Contacts folder. However, i do not have a "Contacts" folder in the folder list. I get to my contacts by clicking on the contacts tab in the lower left of the screen (listed with Mail, Calender and Tasks). How do i complete this process if i have no folder to select? Thanks. Hi Brian -- I have the same issue that Shelly mentioned. I followed the
steps you presented below, but it didn't work. Is there another step here (maybe it will work for Shelly, but did not work for me). Thanks "Brian Tillman" wrote: Shelley wrote: Under "How to mark your contact folder for use with your address book" it says to select the folder you want to use from the folder list. Why can't I use my Contact List to send e-mails?
I have the same problem on Outlook 2003. My address book works fine, but not with e-mail. After taking the steps you suggest above. when I click "To" in a new e-mail message, I get the following message. " The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder assoicated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Office Outlook Help." -- Mikebruce1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mikebruce1's Profile: http://www.officehelp.in/member.php?userid=6152 View this thread: http://www.officehelp.in/showthread.php?t=1322096 Posted from - http://www.officehelp.in |
