Eliminating area code for local calling
I frequently fax documents from my computer to local clients using my Outlook
address book. Since these clients are in the same area code as my office, I am required to manually remove their area code before dialing, regardless if I am sending to one contact or a group. I've looked through all of the options but cannot find the workaround for this problem. Does anyone know the solution? |

I should also mention that it is completely impossible to utilize a group name for faxing as the country code appears to embed itself when the group is created. |

Create a dialing rule. Make sure the fax number is in canonical format so
the dialing rule is invoked. http://support.microsoft.com/?id=318575 -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Linda" wrote in message ... So you're saying that all I need to do is enter the phone numbers like this:
+1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx and I won't have to make any further changes when faxing? "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Create a dialing rule. As long as your dialing rules are correct. As the article illustrates,
canonical format tells the Fax Service to use your dialing rules for dialing. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Linda" wrote in message ...
