importing contacts and mail fom old pc

my wife's pc crashed over the weekend (fortunately I backed it up two weeks
ago) I had to buy a new pc for her and was able to salvage the hard drive
from the old one and have set it up as a USB external drive. How can access
her outlook files so that I can import the recent sent files and the missing
contacts that were added within the last two weeks. I know how to create a
pst file within outlook, but do not know how to export it from an external
source.

Thanks for any advise you can offer
