Sharing Contact List
My manager has his contact list set-up to where he is sharing it with me.
However, the list I have does not match the list he has. I am also not receiving any new entries/contacts that he adds to his list as they are added. We have exercised all options to correct this problem but to no avail. Please can anyone assist with this? |

He's probably marking those new items as Private.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no he is not marking the new contact entries
'Private'. We have tried everything six-ways-from-sunday to resolve this problem, from taking me off his shared contacts, re-adding me to his shared contacts, giving me ownership and/or editorial privileges to his contacts, shutting down, restarting, etc... nothing seems to work, the shared contact list still does not match his and it isn't in synch with my list when he enters new contact info. Maybe he's not marking them private but something else is? All the symptoms point to that as the cause. Perhaps a dumb question, but did you get a chance to look at some of those items to see if the Private box is checked?

double checked with the boss today, no he is not marking them 'private', and
unless you know something I don't --I thought you had to manually check that private box to make a new contact private, and if he isn't doing that, then how else could it be 'private'? I think it must be something else, maybe involving categories viewed or maybe the 'custom view' in general hmmmm. Like I said this is driving me nuts ~ "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Maybe he's not marking them private but something else is? All the symptoms point to that as the cause. There are add-ins that do it automatically. That's why I think you really need to look at some actual items.
