outlook express contacts and personal folders
I reloaded XP (and Outlook Express) on my PC. I have since lost all my
locally stored folders (and contacts). Is there anyway that they can be recovered? Are they backed up anywhere when XP is reinstalled? Thanks Graham -- graham |

"Reloaded?" What does that mean?
Unless you reformatted your hard drive, your Outlook data should be quite intact. The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored. Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer: http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...771141033.aspx -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "graham" wrote in message ... Ah. I thought he meant Office XP so he was also using Outlook.
Apparently not. Wrong place. Graham, post more clearly next time. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Brian Tillman" wrote in message ... graham wrote: I reloaded XP (and Outlook Express) on my PC.
