contact list diplay

I created a new contact group, but all of the names are now showing in my
contact list. How do I keep this particular group of names from being in the
list?
Thank you,
Sabrina

Neither the term contact group nor contact list have any meaning in Outlook.
Try explaining more clearly what you mean.

In Outlook Express, I went to Tools, Address Book, New, New Group. I added
34 names to that new group. Now all of those names are showing in the bottom
left corner of my screen under my Contacts list. I do not want those names
to appear in this list. OE said that there's 3 ways to add new contacts, and
1 of them was to not have them appear in the contact list. Now, I can't
find that info.

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002 & 2003 from the
Office family for Intel PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting in
one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlooke xpress for OE 5.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgro...-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlook express for OE 5.5x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgro...-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress for OE 6.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgro...-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgro...-us;newsgroups

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found he
