Default why can't i sort contacts by category?

Hi! I finaly got myself to sort my contact and noticed after introducing a
category to each contact (what a hassle) that I couldnt sort them by
category!!!!!!!! When I click on the top of the category list outlook says:
"you cannot sort by this field" and if i try to do it via the navigation pane
they dont get sorted at all...

Does anybody know if this is a bug, virus, etc.. or Am I just a hack?

Thanks for any help.
