I have followed this thread and a couple of others. I have 4 Contact folders
when I go to "Address Book" & Show Names dropdown(what happens when I get 'knowledgeable friends' to help!). I've copied and consolidated so I know which one I want to keep (though there is one I can't find). But I can't get rid of the others. One is under the subcategory, in Folder List, of Personal Folders and there's no "Delete" option. One I can't find. When I used the "E-mail Accounts" change to try to delete 2 of the 4....they appear to delete, but still show up in the dropdown list. I would LOVE to get these merged and cleaned up - will deal with the duplicates later... "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: To do which? If you stated your Outlook version, I missed it. It would be nice to know.

I did what I could. I'm down to 2 visible contact folders on the FOlder LIst
- the one I want to use, and another one under Personal Folders. Except for size, they appear to be the same lists - but I can't delete the one under Personal Folders. However, when I go to Address Book (despite all attempts via Email Accounts and Properties) to have only the one I want show up.....I still have 3 listed. Odd thing is, the two I don't want (one of which I'd actually like to "Merge" - has some distribution lists I'd like to keep)......these two cannot be found anywhere in my Folders LIst for COntacts. I don't know where they're coming from and can't delete them, either. Can't locate properties because it's the only place they appear. They don't show up when I go to EMail accounts...change, etc. ANy ideas how to continue to clean this up?
