Distribtion list affected my contacts list

A few weeks ago I develop some distribution lists. Then I realized that the
vcard was no longer in my general contact list/address book and only in the
distribution list. If I click on the individual in the distribtion list and
select 'move to folder" and move it to "Contacts" it did put it back in the
contact list. Why did this happen? I don't want it to happen again if I
develop another distribution list...

Thanks

The most likely explanation is that you either deleted the contact or are using a view with a filter that hides the original contact.
