I created a custom Contacts form and entered some records. It is located on
a Public folder. This morning the receptionist could not open any records in the folder and could not create new records. I then accidentally deleted the custom form that I was using for that Contacts folder. Now when you open a contact the formatting is the original Contacts form, not my custom one. Is there any way to change it back, or do I need to re-enter all of my records? I still have the custom form, and restored it to the properties, so any new entries I make use the custom form. |

DId you publish the contact form under the same message class? That's required if you want old items to use it. Add the Message Class field to the view to see what form class they expect.

Thanks for your response,
Ah- I had it under a different name. I restored the form to the name that was on the message class that those contacts were using, so now they appear to be just fine on my computer. It will also open properly on all but one of the other computers in the office. When I go to that one computer and try to look at the records, they still come up in the standard Contacts form. Hers is also the one that wouldn't let her access any of the records or create new records this morning, even though it was fine yesterday. Any ideas? |

![]() She also gets the standard Outlook Contacts form when she is making a new contact. I tried to make a fresh public folder with the custom contact form in it to see if that would work, but her machine won't load the custom form for that one either. It just displays the same standard Contacts form. I'm at a loss. |

Any error messages? This is when she tries to create a new contact in the public folder? Did you clear her forms cache?

![]() No error messages. Yes, it's when in the public folder. I don't know how to clear the forms cache. Can you explain that to me? "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Any error messages?
