How do I do a mail merge with Outlook contacts using subfolder
Russ:
Thank you for this answer. I had the same problem and could not understand why the subfolders of my "contacts" folder was not showing up in the mail merge, starting from WORD 2003. I find it better to start a mail merge in word as the filtering of contacts is easier once the list has been selected. From OL 2003 it seems you need to start the process [selecting existing document, type, etc] from scratch, even if you want to send the same message to a different subset of the same folder. In any case - thank you, I hoped if I searched through the "mail merge" threads I would find an answer - and you did it! -- Jack S "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: First, make sure you enabled the subfolders as email address books (the option is in properties of the folder). Then try starting the merge from the Outlook folder you want to use. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "fasterna" wrote in message ... Using Microsoft Outllook 2003 I am trying to do a mail merge using the subfolders in my Contacts file. When I go to "Recipients -- Select from Outlook Contacts", I get only the main contact folder displayed. How do I access the subfolders? I have a similar problem when I try to create a distribution list using subfolders. The only thing that comes up for selection is the main contacts folder. |
