How do I retrieve contacts I accidentally deleted in outlook 2003

I created three distribution lists and added my contacts there. I noticed
that they were all still in the "Contacts" list and went back to delete them,
erroneously thinking that their entire information would still be in tact
within the distribution list. I now understand that the distribution list
only maintains the email address. I have lost all contact info, tasks, and
journal information. I tried a system restore back to the time before I made
the blunder, but to no avail. Someone please tell me there is a way to find
the information. I tried "Deleted Items", no use. Help!!!!!

Information that you delete completely enough that it is no longer in your
Deleted Items folder is gone. You should restore your data file from a
backup. If you have no backup, perhaps you will now understand why you
should always back up your data.
