when creating mail lists outlook is automaticall adding the prefix (1) to local area code numbers outside my area code as if they were long distance but they are not even though the prefix(1) is not included in the contact number that i created How can i prevent this |

Uncheck that option in Outlook's dialing preferences.

It's a bit buried.

I see it but I do not see any indication that the prefix 1 is turned on
