When I forward by email an appointment from my work computer to my laptop,it
will not save the appointment on my laptop Outlook Calendar. There is no
exchange server involved.

Exactly what steps are you using to forward. What happens on the laptop?

I right click on the event in the calendar and forward; which opens up my
Outlook email. The calendar icon is there as an attachment. I send the
email from work to my home laptop. When I open the event and save, the
even does not show up on my laptop Outlook Calendar. I am able to send email
contacts this way & they save into my laptop address book just fine.
Thanks for asking the questions, Sue!

Before you click Send, doubleclick your underlined name/address in the To box and make sure that it's set for Outlook rich text format. Alternatively, use the Forward as vCal/iCal command.
