how do you export just one category of contacts to a csv or excel file?

Default Outlook--exporting a contact category

You can't. You can only export folders. So why not just copy those Contacts
into a separate Folder and export that folder with Outlook's export Wizard?

Thanks for the tip...I've tried that though...and the only option I have
when I hi-lite all of the contacts in a category and right-click is to move
them -- not copy them. How do I copy them?

Default Outlook--exporting a contact category

After you select the contacts, use the Edit Menu.
R click is not the answer to everything. Just some things.
