Removing names from global address list?

We have SBS2003 and our desktops have XP and Office 2003. I don't know much
about it but I have become the de facto tech support person in our office.

Here's the problem. We've had two people leave the company. I went to the
server and deleted them as users. However, they still show up in the
drop-down list of names in our global address list. My boss is bugging me to
get rid of them because he doesn't like to see their names. How do I do
this? I've searched high and low in help and in the discussion groups, but I
can't find the answer.

Thank you!

Did you remove them from Active Directory?

Removing names from global address list?

Milly, I thought I did but I'm not positive. How can I know for sure? And
if I didn't, is there anything I can do now?

Thank you!

If your users are using Outlook 2003 in Cached Exchange mode, it may take 24-48 hours for the changes you made to Active Directory to show up in their local copy of the Offline Address Book.
