How do I access my personal contacts when sending a message?

Hi. Here is my problem. When I write messages in outlook and use the
address book to find an address, it only accesses email addresses from my
company's global list. I have numerous personal contacts that I have added
to my "Contacts" tab, but I'd like to be able to just write a message, click
on address book, and somehow get those contacts. I've tried going to
Contacts, Properties, Outlook Address Book, and checking the box marked "Show
this folder as an e-mail Address Book", but unfortunatley that box is grayed
out, and it won't let me check it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Then you need to add the Outlook Address Book service to your mail profile.
In Outlook click ToolsE-mail AccountsAdd a new directory or address
bookNext. Select Additional Address Books and click Next. Select Outlook
Address Book, click Next, and tne Finish. Stop and restart Outlook. Now
you'll be able to check that option you named.
