Hello,
Env: Outlook 2003 (and reproduced in Outloo 2000) with Exchange 2003 backend User Does the following: Creates a Contact list in public Folders (PF)with 'owner' permissions. List may contain Distribution List (DL) and/or individual names FROM the GAL Contact list is added to address list User opens new Mail and adds a DL and resolves fine. Saves the msg as OFT file for future open when opening the oft, the names are displayed - no problem User opens new mail, and adds a name, saves it as oft and closes. on reopening, clicking on the name does not resolve to GAL but shows email properties rather than contact properties. Question: How come we can add a DL to the TO, click on it and the properties of name displayed are contact properties?. Why is it not the same behaviour using one of those names as a name?. (All using oft) Workaround is putting individual names into DL. and that is a chore? Any help would be appreciated greatly -- Amin M. |
