Default Mobile Address Book - SMS Link Problem

I am using Office Professional 2007 and I setup SMS Link with my Sprint PCS
service. I like to send and receive SMS messages to mobile phones directly
from Outlook, but I can't use the Mobile Address Book. I believe the problem
is with the Mobile Address Book that gets created once you setup SMS Link, as
it won't let me access the Mobile Address Book without giving me the
following message:

Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience.

I tried removing the Mobile Address Book and then reinstalling SMS Link, but
the same problem remains. I also tried to setup a Mobile Address Book
manually, but still no luck. I have tried to access the Mobile Address Book
by going to Tools-Address Book, then selecting Contacts (mobile) and I have
gone to File-New-Text Message, but as soon as I click on "To" or Address
Book, it gives the "encountered a problem" message and restarts Outlook.

Any ideas on how to resolve this problem?

Default Mobile Address Book - SMS Link Problem

I am having the same problem on a Vista OS using Outlook 2007 and the SMS
addin. I tried the same addin using Outlook 2007 on a WinXP Sp2 OS and had
no problems with the Mobile Address Book. I think the addin is not
compatible with Vista.

That link is for GSM phones... I am using Verizon Wireless which is CDMA. I
don't know if that makes any difference. Do you?

Default Mobile Address Book - SMS Link Problem

I used http://messaging.office.microsoft.com/Main.aspx as well. BTW, I'm
using WinXP Pro SP2 (not Vista) and Outlook 2007 with Business Contact
Manager as part of the Office Pro 2007 suite of products.

As a troubleshooting measure, I deleted the SMS Link Account and the Mobile
Address Book that the SMS Link install created. I then went into Outlook
(Tools-Account Settings-Address Books) and created a new Mobile Address Book
(New-Additional Address Books-Mobile Address Book). I then tried to access
the new Mobile Address Book from a new email message, but I get the same
"encountered a problem" as originally experienced. Based upon this, the
problem appears to be related to the Mobile Address Book functionality in
Outlook rather than something related to the SMS link install itself.

Default Mobile Address Book - SMS Link Problem

Hello All. I just installed it on 2 different machine. one XP Pro and the
other a Vista.

Both times when restarting outlook it seems to crash. I can not go into it
via safe mode. I have tried disabling through the registry but no go. Any
suggestions out there?
