changing the way old contacts are filed
I am using Outlook 2003 and need to convert all my old contacts from "First
Name Last Name" to "Last Name, First Name". I've already tried Tools/Email Accounts/View or change existing directories or address books and didn't have any success.

Open Outlook, choose Account Settings from the Tools drop down menu, then click on the Address Books tab, and then click on Change. Place a dot according to your wishes. Close.
