Default How do I get my Contact Folder to point to Outlook?

I have a problem that I cannot bring up my Contacts and select addresss when
I click on TO when composing an email. I also cannot select addresses when
creating a distribution list. This happened following a reloading of Outlook
and importing my pst file.

When I tried to set up a distribution list, this is the message I get.

The address list could not be displayed. The Contact list associated with
this folder could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted; or you do
not have permissions.

thank you - I'm not very technical

You did not post your Outlook version. You need to configure your Outlook
Address Book Service. The method to do so depends on your Outlook version.
The method for each version has been posted countless times in this group.
Find a post that matches your version and follow those instructions.
