I have a problem with multiple versions of contacts in Outlook

I see a different set of contacts when composing a message from when I access
contacts through the navigation pane. How can I work with only one set of
contacts in Outlook?

Post is far too vague. How are we supposed to know:
1. Your Outlook version
2. The method you are using to select your recipient when "composing a
message."
While you are gathering and posting this information, include information on
how you configured your Outlook Address Book.

It would also be useful to have a more complete description of "diferent set of contacts."
