I guess I did not mention in the post that I had BCM because I didn't
realize it would have any impact on the problem at hand. In looking back now, that may not have been such a good decision. -- Neil "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... Once they did that, I had the insert tab but Business Contact Manager disappeared. After several hours on the phone with Microsoft and several more hours on my own, I still do not have BCM. It makes sense for the Insert tab not to be present on BCM contacts and accounts. Remember that these items are not "real" Outlook contacts. Instead, they are database records that look like Outlook contacts. The database can't store any attachments, so the Insert tab probably is missing to prevent you from adding any.
It seems to me that the remaining question is whether you were missing the Insert tab on contacts in your own default Contacts folder as well. In any case, since you have an open support incident, you should keep pressing Microsoft to get you back to a state where you have BCM and have the Insert tab in contacts in your default Contacts folder. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook 2007 Programming: Jumpstart for Power Users and Administrators http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=54 "Remove ABCD from Email address to reply" wrote in message ... I do not have the insert tab in either the BCM contacts or Outlook 2007
contacts. As you say, I have opened a case with MS. MS finally got my BCM installed and runs fine. Of course, in doing so MS once again got rid of the insert tab on the Outlook contacts. I am now going to post this issue in the BCM NG. Microsoft just informed me
that this is a know bug and when BCM is installed the insert tab for contacts in Outlook (not BCM) disappears.
