Default Autocomplete doesn't always work

Maybe I'm missing something really simple. Then again, I am by no means an
expert, otherwise I wouldn't be posting here.

We're having trouble with a couple of our machines. In Outlook, Autocomplete
has been working in a somewhat spotty manner. One day it works fine, the next
it refuses to suggest commonly used addresses.

Is this "a Microsoft thing", or is it something that can be rectified easily?

I can be reached directly at tgressman at trcil dot org

Thanks in advance
