Had to reload office due to Word issues. Outlook was reinstalled as well.
All my contacts and calendar info was saved in the personal folders for each. Now I can not get my smartphone to sync via Active sync with Outlook. I get a a message the reads. cannot sync with the outlook profile you are using, because a different profile was previously set up. I also want to have all my personal folders to come up each time I open Outlook. I do not use Outlook for e-mail Any help would be appreciated. MR |

You are asking an Activsync question, not an Outlook question. Ask in an
Activsync group how to change the default profile for synchronization. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "mixer" wrote in message ... Had to reload office due to Word issues. I will look at that as well but, the error code I am getting says the issue
is with Outlook. "Please open Outlook using the appropriate profile." support code 0x8503001f "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: You are asking an Activsync question, not an Outlook question. That message is telling you that you have not configured Activesync
correctly, not that Outlook is the source of the problem. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "mixer" wrote in message ... I have not created a new partnership in activsync. outlook was reinstalled.
I still have all my old contacts and calender events in a personal folder but, they do not come up when I open Outlook. Activesync recognizes my phone and looks to sync with Outlook then I get the error message. I do not want to loose the information on my phone and I just want to have one profile in Outlook. So, make the old PST your delivery location in the new profile. You won't lose a thing then. Be extra safe and make a copy of that PST before adding it to the profile, if you wish. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
