Is there a way to import or copy a distribution list from another person in
another company into my Outlook 2003 contact list ? They sent me an email with an attachment that they saved from their Outlook contact list as an RTF file. But I cannot copy the file or import it into my contact list. -- Jack Tobin IT Director |

Works fine as long as the DL is inserted as an Outlook Item into an RTF
message. An attachment won't work. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jack Tobin" wrote in message ... I am not sure what you mean to try to add the contact list as an Outlook Item
?? It allows me to attach it. Is there a write up somewhere I can follow step by step instructions ? Can I email you what I have ? -- Jack Tobin IT Director "Jack Tobin" wrote: Is there a way to import or copy a distribution list from another person in another company into my Outlook 2003 contact list ? No write up. Just countless posts in the newsgroup here. Most people get
tripped up by the fact that they don't use the "Insert Item" command because they can't find it. That location varies with each version and each editor. So far, we only know your version, not your editor. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jack Tobin" wrote in message ... I am not sure what you mean to try to add the contact list as an Outlook Item ?? Look in Tools Options to see whether Word or Outlook is set as your email

under the "Edit" tab it says "Picture Editor" = Microsoft Office Word 2003.
But, I cannot find anything that says 'email editor' in the tabs under Tools Option -- Jack Tobin IT Director "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Look in Tools Options to see whether Word or Outlook is set as your email editor. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jack Tobin" wrote in message ... I haven't run Outlook 2003 for years, but it should be very obvious what
email editor you are using when you examine your email options. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jack Tobin" wrote in message ... under the "Edit" tab it says "Picture Editor" = Microsoft Office Word 2003.
