By design. You can still add it in Tools Options Preferences Contact
options: Do you see "Show Contact Linking on all Forms?" If so, select it. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "danef" wrote in message ... Excellent! Thank you very much. I had tried everything I could think of.
Journal is completely under appreciated and supported as far as I am concerned. Dan "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: By design. Adding Contacts to a Journal Entry
What about adding a Journal entry to an open contact? In 2003 you could
choose "Make Journal Entry". I'm not willing to make most of my contacts automatic journal entries, but would still like the feature that creates a journal entry for the contact I am looking at. I've never used it and have never turned journaling on. but it would not
surprise me if it had been removed from the new Contact Form in from Outlook 2007. The Journal feature has been deprecated. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "danef" wrote in message ... Adding Contacts to a Journal Entry
I did this by adding the "New Journal Entry for Contact" action to the Quick
Access Bar. To do this open any contact and click the little down arrow at the very top of the window. Then choose "More Commands..." Click "All Commands" from the "Choose commands from:" drop-down selection Scroll all the way down to "New Journal Entry for Contact" and click the "Add" button. Click OK. Now it will be in your Quick Access Bar on any contact that you open. --Marty "danef" wrote: What about adding a Journal entry to an open contact? In 2003 you could choose "Make Journal Entry". Russ - Journaling has become one of the most important features for me in
Outlook to track and recall my activities during the day. Microsoft should enhance journaling functionality. Microsoft, you have my phone number - feel free to contact me. Many years ago, as I recall, I ran into one of your Outlook product mgrs at COMDEX and made some comments not too long after which Outlook improved significantly. While I like to think I helped play a role in this, more important to me is that MS is hearing what I am sharing.
