I'm using 2007 and am havin the same problem. Contacts which are in the
database cannot be found using search. Also emails which are definately there
cannot be found using search - does anyone have a solution?

That is incorrect. A new mail profile and a new account are completely
different objects.

Care to post some measure of detail, like Outlook version, what "database"
you mean, and exactly how you're trying to search?
