Shared Private Contacts

I have a user that has marked contacts as Private. He has given his secretary
Owner permissions to his Contacts, but his secretary still cannot see the
Private Contacts? I did set the Delegate can see private items checkbox as
well. Is there a way that the secretary can see the Contacts marked as
private?
