I'll try to be as specific and brief as possible:
Outlook 2003 SP3, running slow so I backed-up all contacts and custom forms, uninstalled, reinstalled. All my contacts are OK but the FORMS Tab (Contacts - Properties) is gone and all records have defaulted to the original Contact form. When I click on When posting to this folder use, then "forms" from the dropdown, I can't figure out a way to load the custom form I saved on the desktop (custom1.fdm)? |

Exchange Extensions was not on! Thank You!
Now the Forms Tab is back and I will try to load the custom form today and let you know if it leads to any additional issues I can't resolve myself (so please check back!), but before we close please tell me if I'm doing this correctly: 1) To backup all contacts, email and forms, should I FileImport and Export Export to a FilePersonal Folder File...OR...FileBackup? 2) and...what's the best way to just backup a Custom Form by itself? Thanx In Advance! Mike "Diane Poremsky" wrote: 1. Detect and repair is better than uninstall/reinstall 2. Are you using the same pst or did you create a new one? Published forms reside in the pst, in the folder there were published in 3. Check the add-ins (tools, options, other) - is exchange extensions installed? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "reiner" wrote in message ... CONTINUED 2) and...what's the best way to just backup a Custom Form by
itself? I've been going into Forms ManagerSave As...and then save the .fdm file to a backup folder. Do I paste that file into Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms to re-load? |
