how do I dial a telephone number from Outlook?

I am using Outlook 2007 and used to be able to dial utilising a TAPI
interface directly from Contacts through to our PBX. However now it is not
recognising the +44 207X XXXX numbers in my Contacts and is dialling some
strange random numbers!

Not an Outlook issue. Outlook only uses the default Windows dialer (which
rarely if ever work with a PBX in my experience). If that is not working as
it should, examine your dialing rules and post a question in a telephony
group.
